introductions

telling someone my name usually goes a little something like this:
"soy meredith"
"¿qué?"
"meredith!"
"¿qué?"
"mer"
"¿qué?"
"es como 'mar' pero en vez de una 'a' es una 'e'"
"ooohhh 'mer'!"
"sí, es mucho más fácil pronunciar"
then i laugh awkwardly.
