it began with my spanish professor having us fill in the missing lyrics to this very sentimental love song: "Sexo" by Los Prisioneros
here is the chorus:
Sexo compro
Sexo vendo
Sexo arriendo
Sexo, sexo, sexo
translation:
i buy sex
i sell sex
i rent/lease sex ?
sex sex sex
i think you get the point.
after class we went to the cathedral at the Plaza de Armas and then to the "Museo Histórico Nacional" with our monitores
Catedral de Santiago |
Monumento de Los Heroes - my monitor has a family member's name on this! |

Plaza de Armas
after going to the Museo Histórico Nacional, my group went to a restaurant called "Malas Artes" in the neighborhood Bellas Artes. Chileans really do love their sarcasm.
a few tables away from us was a couple - an old man and younger woman - straight up making out and groping each other for over an hour. and they were they long before we arrived.
after, a few of us went to an AMAZING ice cream place. and then i came home to this box of chocolates from my host mom :)
feliz día de los enamorados!
