malaga

i now live on the corner of the streets "malaga" and "cristobol colón" in the neighborhood "Las Condes", an area much wealthier and safer than my former residence in Ñuñoa

my new host family consists of:
madre: Janea (her name is Croatian)
hermana mayor: Rosario (18, but looks much more mature and 100x prettier than me)
hermana menor: Florencia (14, very cute and says cachai practically in every sentence)

my awesome apartment building:

i live on the first floor
(luckily, because there is no elevator and otherwise i would have had to carry my massive suitcases up the stairs)

my new room! it's super cozy, i love it

my own bathroom! no more sharing with host stranger.. -_-

kitchen (my bedroom is through the space on the left):
quite possibly my favorite part of the house.
Rosario showed me a cookies and cream ice cream cake in the freezer,
and i've already eaten 4 pumpkin muffins (queque de calbasa
dining room! the doors lead to an outdoor patio.

during dinner i had a great conversation with Janea, Rosario, and Florencia and we are all going to yoga in the morning (this family could seriously not be more perfect). they also wouldn't stop complementing how good my spanish is, which is honestly the most flattering thing ever. i surprisingly can understand almost every word they say, but that all goes down the drain when i'm on the streets because the amount of slang chileans use is like learning a whole new language.

some things i passed by today while walking from the metro station to my new home:
smog. oh, and the Andes

cute little kitten. i also saw a hundred dogs, but that's normal.
